Caliopians

Eclectic musical performance by: Andy Charmatz (guitar), Rick Kennan (drums), Joe Chavez (percussion). “The Caliopians”play “California music goes global” or you could break it down as “Cali”, a California band full of the sounds of the southern desert the coastal surf towns Bakersfield twang and the inner city we live in. And “Opians” cause we have a big place in our hearts and heads for Ethiopian jazz and Afro Cuban diaspora sounds. A big slice of Klezmer and what ever else falls into our listening life.
