The Oakland Jazz Funk Project believes jazz is a living language that continues to grow and evolve. Jazz didn’t die in 1959. It lives on in funk, neo-soul, R&B, fusion, jazz-funk and so much more. OJFP honors and plays it all, from straight-ahead jazz to 70’s funk to contemporary neo-soul. Jazz lives on and OJFP keeps it alive and relevant!
