Ultimate Combo: Video Game Jazz Jam

Ultra Combo is a group of veteran jazz musicians from around the Bay Area who share a love for music and in particular for the music of classic and modern video games. 

The Bay Area’s premiere VGM Jazz event, Ultra Combo has been hosting jams at the Ocean Ale House and elsewhere in the Bay every first Sunday from 6-9pm since April 2023. 

Our goal is to create a welcoming environment for musicians and VGM fans of all backgrounds, including younger musicians and people who may be new to the scene or new to playing in jams entirely. Each night at the Ocean Ale House starts with a house band set, followed by a guided jam where anyone and everyone is welcome to join in. (Whether it’s games or tunes, we think it’s more fun when everyone gets to play!)
